Y a partir del 97 nada? O es que para apreciar la calidad de un disco, dentro de su contexto sociológico, necesitamos cierta distancia temporal?

De 1997 a 1999 solo van dos años; según el sabio criterio de Xico durante ese par de años no se manufacturara ninguno disco digno de estar en los cien mejores. Son los mejores del siglo XX.

Quien ha realizado esta lista tiene mi edad (soy del 48) y sin ninguna duda son los discos mejores del siglo XX y te aseguro que los he vivido en su salsa. Lo de colocarlos hacia arriba o hacia abajo da igual, puedes variar si quieres a tu gusto.
